River City Unplugged & More

Church Planting,Local Churches,Services — Brian on June 23, 2011 at 7:01 am

River City Unplugged & More. In case you are unfamiliar with the term, it’s a reference to what bands name their albums when they strip down their songs to a pure acoustic sound. However, the “More” part is that they usually include some new, never-before-heard bonus tracks. The result? More, not less.

The summer season is upon us so we thought we’d take an opportunity to provide a Sunday experience that you just can’t get in a large church gathering here in Missoula. We’re stripping down the worship set. We’re providing an interactive teaching and discussion time. We’re sharing a meal together.

We’re hoping that as we strip down our usual church service of all the extras, that we’ll experience God together in a new way. A refreshing way. An authentic way. It’s unplugged…and it’s more, not less!

So we’ll see you this Sunday @11am. Bring your bible, and bring your appetite as we’ll be having lunch together!

Blog Updates

Church Planting — Brian on June 11, 2011 at 1:23 pm

We’re in the process of updating some things, including our podcasts that we usually post here. Hopefully in the next week or so we’ll have a new page where you can download the sermon podcasts.

I’m also going to be taking a break from regular blog entries this summer. Check back every now and then for important updates from your favorite Missoula church!

Convict

Sermons,Services — Brian on June 4, 2011 at 9:51 am

Do you ever feel guilty for the things you do? Do you feel condemnation when you sin? Some people would say that this is the work of the Holy Spirit, convicting you of sin. But the Bible says that the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, but leads his people into all truth and righteousness. There is a huge difference between convicting and leading, just like there’s a huge difference between being a convict and being a child of God. No comparison really.

God doesn’t condemn you. He already knows you’re not perfect. He loves you anyway.

Tomorrow we’ll be studying Romans chapter 4. You won’t want to miss it Missoula!
