We do not battle against flesh and blood…

Church Issues,Local Churches,Prayer and Fasting,Services — Brian on August 20, 2011 at 10:48 am

Right now River City Church is in a huge battle. The enemy is doing everything he can to push us down and discourage us by keeping us from meeting as a church here in Missoula. But we won’t have it. We have to remember that:

“Our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places (Eph 6:12).

The only way to fight in this type of battle is through spiritual warfare.

Worship is one of the most powerful weapons we have in our arsenal. Moreover, when we come together and worship in unity, there is nothing that can’t be done. Remember the story of the tower of Babel? The people wanted to join forces to build a huge tower and make themselves famous. God said in Genesis 11:3

“Look!” he said. “The people are united, and they all speak the same language. After this, nothing they set out to do will be impossible for them!”

There is power in unity. God said nothing would be impossible for the people if they were united.

River City Church, we need to unite tomorrow night. We need to come together speaking the same language. Our language is praise and worship of our mighty God. It’s the language of the Spirit.  When we come together and do battle in the spiritual realm through our worship, God says that nothing will be impossible for us!

Here’s what I’m trying to say:  You need to be at the worship service tomorrow night. We need to unite. Deuteronomy 32:30 says that

“One of us can put a thousand to flight, and two of us can put ten thousand to flight!”

There is power, spiritual power, in numbers. Please prayerfully consider doing WHATEVER YOU CAN TO JOIN US TOMORROW NIGHT!

6pm @ The Hilton Conference Center on N. Reserve St in Missoula.

River City Church is temporarily without a permanent meeting location in Missoula. However the church is not defined by the building it meets in, but rather by the people who gather together!  If you’re looking for a safe, stable building to have church on Sunday mornings, then I would suggest you check out the 70+ other churches in Missoula. If you’re looking for some unpredictable, faith-filled times, then check back here each week, follow us on facebook (www.facebook.com/rivercitychurch), and/or sign up for text alerts by texting RiverCityChurch to 41242. We’ll let you know each week where we’ll be meeting next!
